The four teams of the league (Blue, Green, Red, Black) consisting each of three organists will be part of the featured games always on two organs in one church. The four REGULAR SEASON GAMES will be held on Sundays at 4:00 pm at the following dates: in L’Assomption on March 6 // in Quebec City on April 10 // once again in L’Assomption on May 1 // and in Montreal on May 22. The CHAMPIONSHIP GAME will be held in Montreal on Friday, June 10 at 9:00 pm. The matches will be presented with much brio and panache by a referee and a master of ceremonies, in an interactive format in which the audience is invited to vote on the winning team of the night. The LIO is a successful combination of tradition and topicality, a showcase for talented performers in a light-hearted atmosphere. All the improv themes are announced in French but the music speaks of course in a universal language! With Calendar Tickets: $10 for Regular Season Games // Free admittance for the Championship Game Locations Organized by Orgue et couleurs, the Improvisation League is presented with the assistance of Théâtre Hector-Charland in L’Assomption, the Société du Palais Montcalm in Quebec City, the Maison de la culture Maisonneuve and Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal, Rodgers/Roland Canada and the Centre du clavier Allard à Joliette. -30- For further information: 514-899-0644 / www.orgueetcouleurs.com [7211] News posted Monday, February 28, 2005. |
